Wide Coverage

A benefits package needs to cover as much as you reasonably can afford. This should be true not only for the insurance policy itself (e.g., what kinds of operation, visits, and medications it covers) but also for how widespread and accepted that insurance company is. You might be able to find cheaper offers from companies that are harder to work with or find. That might be better financially for you, but the last thing anyone wants is to have a medical emergency and then realize that no local hospitals accept your insurance. 

Budget carefully. See how much money can be put aside to provide a robust health benefits package. Insurance of all kinds should definitely be a part of your business plan. Talk to other experienced business owners and utilize the internet for detailed research.
