Who are your fans?
Every day, millions, I am talking MILLIONS, of people log onto Social Media. Most of them use our beloved Facebook. Because of the way that most platforms work, sadly we are not seen by these millions. Large companies spend tons of money on branding and advertising and well, we are small businesses on budgets. So, how do you make the most out of what we have?
The first tip is to find out who your audience is. It is pretty simple to do. If you have a business page on Facebook, look over your page insights and do a little research. If you look at mine, you will see who my ideal target audience is. To find this, go to your insights and click on “People”.
Mine seem to be women between the ages of 25 and 34 within the US.
Using this info, now you can gear your posts to actually speak to this range of people rather than trying to guess how to post. Think of how this person thinks. What do they do for fun? Are they parents, like certain foods, enjoy tips of some sort? It sure makes it easier to know who you are talking to.
This also comes in handy when you are branding your personal business. Knowing the age and niche of who you are concentrating on can help you choose color schemes, logo looks and general appearance of your brand.
Try implementing this for a few days and see a difference in the interaction on your page.
